Hey guys!

I'm Michael and I live in Australia. I am going to be coming to Malta to visit family and friends and I wanted to do some fishing while I was there.

I was just after some Reccomendations as to some good charters available and what seasons are best to come in.

Here in Australia I do a lot of sports and game fishing on light gear mostly jigging, trolling, poppering etc. Mostly artificial (not bait) but I am happy to do anything.

Also is the gear the charters use good or is it worth bringing my own?

I appreciate any help and it would be good to catch up with some keen fisho's when I come down.

ENGLISH ONLY PLEASE :P

A woman who has never seen her husband fishing, doesn't know what a patient man she married !

There is no such thing as too much equipment.

Hi Michael. I'm also from Australia (Melbourne), and sought lots of good information from this wonderful forum, and its helpful members. I visited Malta in August, and did a few trips targeting Lumpuki (dolphine fish) and also Bluefin Tuna, though l believe since then there has been some new rules and regulations about targeting tuna, and l'm sure members will clarify this for you. Run some searches on here and l'm sure you will find lots of good info'
Its interesting to see and learn some of the different techniques that are used.

Apart from the fishing we enjoyed the many 'Festas' that were held around that time, and l am sure you will enjoy your time there.
Looking forward to hear more about your trip on here.

Cheers.

Joe
