mfc license what can i fish with s registration

can i fish  and obviously what can i fish ?

The S boats are allowed to fish with 12miles of range and you can fish with rods, trolling and use Bouge traps(nasses). With MFC you are allowed to fish with Long Lines and MFB can use the Nets (Parit) as well. MFA can troll and fish for Tuna and Swordfish( must apply for permits).

yet still use of illegal Parit is not yet forced in Malta

To be specific, here is what MFC registration means:
MFC registration is a vessel registered as fishing for pleasure.  There are no restrictions on distance, you are allowed to use bottom longlines, but not surface longlines. You are not allowed to use nets (pariti).  You are not allowed to sell your fish to 3rd parties either. You are allowed to troll.  To be registered as MFC, your craft must be longer then 6m, in which case it will also have to be registered with the MMA as Valletta.  An S registered vessel cannot apply for an MF (A,B or C) registration, and is restricted to the 12 mile zone or Maltese territorial waters.
The difference between MFC and MFB is that  the registration of MFB is a fishing vessel registered on a commercial basis for part-time fishing.  You are allowed to use nets and surface longlines.  The owner of the MFB registered vessel is allowed to sell the catch on a commercial basis, and will have to register with the VAT dept, and according to the length of the vessel, will have to declare to the appropriate authorities a certain minimum catch per year which has to be sold to the local fish market (pixkerija).

Joe you sure that MFC vessels have to be over 6m? Doesn't make much sense when all those small luzzu's are registered as MFC (previously PTF) and are under 6m. I believe the 6m restriction is for MFB and MFA?

MFC can be any length. Distance to go out is according to size of boat up to 5.9m limit is 12 miles over 6m up to 25 miles and over.
MFC deep lines and trolling. Any size same as above with length of boat
MFB everything but once every three years approx 750Lm  worth of fish  these always start from last time u had the amount of money in fish sold to Pixkerija. if you dont make the amount in a year within the 3 year bracket u lose the MFB and relegated to MFC to go back to MFB u pay Lm1000. (another way to conserve fish eh) thats why a lot of MFB lay PARIT to make the amount needed.

Hi,
  I own a 15foot boat with a 50hp motor and i pay the sport license and the MFC license as well, shall I cancel the Sport license and if I cancel it what will hapen then? I dont know where to ask. pls help any kind of help will be highly appreciated
