CARP3R

Hi,
I now live in mellieha after relocating from the U.K with my family, back there i was very much into carp angling as a friend owned a gravel pit in france.
Since being here i have been out on a few charter trips trolling for tuna, with chris through Aquatica amongst others.
i have ordered from the usa a couple of  daiwa  sealine heavy trolling rods and shimano TLD 25`s for trolling work, and was thinking 20/40 lb class 7 footers and medium duty shimano level winds for jigging/light bottom fishing to get next?.
What i would really be interested in is maybe a fuel/boat share with any of the members on here,i would like to go out maybe once or twice a fortnight, for some trolling/wreck/ bottom fishing to learn the ropes and gain experience here in malta as looking to get my own boat in the next year. i am available most any day of the week and require only a day or two`s notice so could make up the numbers or even just go out for a couple of hours pleasure fishing, have own tranport so no worries there, just really want a bit better cost effective way of getting out on the sea really ;)
please feel free to pm me
regards Darren

Out of curiosity who did you order the rods from....shipping rods usually costs an arm and a leg from the USA.....did you find a good source? I have a 7 foot one piece Daiwa boat spinning rod that I got from the US but the supplier's system made a mistake on shipping so I got a bargain! What line class did you get the rods?

Do you already have the Shimano level winds?

Hi skip got the rods through ebay heres the relisted link for the rods and reels i thought they were good value as the dollar/pound euro conversion makes it good  ;)

Tks for the links. I have used Tackle Direct before but found that they can take long to ship and dont answer mails very quickly. Like them other big stores are Melton Tackle , Charkbait

Locally there are various retail tackle shops, but be sure to send a private msg to Okuma-1976 if you dont want to pay retail prices. He gets quite a range of brands

caldaland

just keep away from marinesupplydirect they are the biggest thieves, liers and bullshitters i have ever seen!
