Hi Guys, I am relatively new to the forum as this is my first post, but I have been reading some of the posts, thanks to which I have learnt alot. Thanks to all of you guys for sharing your experiences actually.

This is great forum and it got me addicted to fishing after several years of not touching a rod. So far i have tried some bottom fishing and some spinning with no real success.

This weekend I would like to go for some beachcasting and would like to ask if the "hniex tal Korea" or "american" are any good for this type of fishing. I will probably go early morning at around 4 to 5 am, if I wake up  :).

Any help is much appreciated and hopefully I will be able to post some pics if I catch anything decent.

thanks once again for all your help.

Don't forget the american worms !!  Important with worms is to put all at once on the hook/line, dont cut them in pieces. ;)

thanks for the hint Chris. I usually cut it in pieces so that they are slightly larger than the hook ???

But wouldn't they be too big for the hook. sometimes the American worms are about 15 cm long. not all but sometimes you find the occasional big one.

So if you hook it whole, do you slide it up the line and maybe leave a small piece (say 2 cm) off the hook so that it stays moving.

And as far as I know I should hook from the head first, right? I usually use hook size 6 or 7. would this be ok?

apologies for the many questions, but i still have a lot to learn.

Thanks once again.

Yes the american ones are big but when using the "" ago "" needle in english it's simple to hook it up, you just put the worm on the needle put the hook on on the tip of the needle and slid all the worm on the hook and line.  The important thing is not to let his blood out cause except for his movements, the smell of its blood is the thing that attract fish.

Even for live bibi, one should use this system to hook it up and not cut it in piece.

Regarding the hook, it's important that you use ones which are long in order to put more worm on the hook.

Thanks

Thanks Chris, I knew that Bibi had to be hooked whole using the needle system (never used them though) but didn't know that this system had to be used for the american worms too.

do you suggest the same system for the Korean worms? :)

many thanks

Andrea :)

FISHING IS THE BEST HOBBY AND IT'S GREAT FOR RELAXING

Reelin

Yesterday i went to golden bay had 2 small bites early morning (landed nothing though) and then nothin.....maybe because of the tramuntana...but anyway had fun trying out some new fishing gear.....some of you guys are really interested in beachcasting i would like to meet you someday im sure we could learn quite a lot from each other...i still believe that this kind of fishing is not that explored over here
Gone fishin', be back at dark-thirty!

ganni

i went beach casting just 5 times. my first was at ramla il hamra, 2nd paradise bay, 3rd golden bay and 4th and 5th at paradise ba again.

from ramla il hamra i just caught 3 small imnieges and from golden bay nothing. but at paradise bay once it was great. i ended up catching 4 good sized imnieges, more than 20 tracni some of which were good sized and a couple of ruzett. was quite suprised with the ruzett since i didn't think it comes in shallow waters as much as 4m.

would you like to go at paradise bay this saturday??  but i think for me it will be a bit of a problem to go at midnight and fish till the morning, if it is possible its better from sunset to early morning.

what do you think guys??
