yep good luck mate hope i bring you the luck to fulfill your wish. rays are essentially scavengers, that is the reason to cut the head, to kill it, you can also fillet it if you wish but than you could need to use the elastic line

also it could work for gringu or conger eel? and tracni but the 2 bite nearly on anything

The only way I tried was with kurunella but it's small maybe that's why I only caught small ones and once I caught a very nice conger eel from ghadira but I will try as you told me.Thanks for the advise.

Sometimes i stingray makes me swear because it gives a big fight and can be seen white from the bottom. Hoping it is a dentex

Or on swordfish lonlines, after maby 3 hours of hauling you think you have a fish and you find a FU**ING ray lol... normally i beat the sh*t out of it so it lets go of the hook. Believe me it's the best sollution! you wouldnt want it to sting you in the middle of knowhere + they are known to be lethal!

Dear Bigboy and Lapsi,

I think that them and a turtle are two of the most difficult to haul in especially on long lines.  (i know turtles are illegal to catch and this is why thy are either released or taken for treatment.)

Sometimes rays give you a hard time and they are extremelt dangerous.

Actually turtles we dont harm them but cut the hook of (Dont worry it falls of easily since their mouth is al catrlidge) But rays they are good for nothing and there are sooo many ! sometimes we catch more than 40

someone mentioned surf casting in summer. but where could you possibl go surfcasting in summer with all the bbqs, parties etc that are held?

To tell you the truth not really, They are like pests to me (Like flies). I dont know why they keep coming man!!, freeman all the fisherman i know always kill them it may sound sad but theres just so many!! like overpopulated...I try not to kill them but we cant waste time on such things when working, and i wouldnt wont to get hurt by trying to release it

The hook sizes depend on the fish you are targeting and as bait I use mainly live shrimps,when I manadge to catch some.
