Boat Covers

As most of you may know I have a 19ft. centre console boat. The job I hate most after a day out is covering the boat since it is a very akward task especially when doing from a low dinghy and even worse when it is windy.
The type of cover I have covers the whole boat like a glove and then is tightened by means of a drawstring at the rear. So what I do is first cover the boat leaving the rear part only uncovered, get onto the dinghy and start tightening the draw string. But when it's slightly windy, by the time you get into the dinghy the cover is blown off to one side and you have to get back up and try again!!! It is even very akward to pass the draw string under the motor, auxiliary, etc.
For next season, I was thinking of changing the cover to one that snaps onto the boat with sort of buttons but I'm a bit weary as I need to put a number of holes in the boat. What are your ideas and views please?

Well if you do the buttons type you have to do a number of holes in the boat for sure....or else do like me....don't cover it.I take everything with me so they cannot steel anything.Maybe to protect from the sun yes.

Benri  the boat cover I had before i used to pass  ropes from under the boat. not that  difficult. I had three front middle  and rear. I used to miss out on the middle one though. Does not make any difference.

The holes that are drilled are sealed as you put the screw in so I wouldn't worry about that Bryan

 Benri, i suggest you to use PERFIX clip on's, they'r very good, strong enough to resist wind and are easy to install. there material are UV resistant and you can find them in 3 colours White, Blue and Cream. you can see them on this Link: http://www.perfils.com. Boatcare of TA Xbiex can show it to you and install them, but i'm sure you can install them.
