Guys, sooner rather then later, The Gaffer (regretfully) will be up for sale.  The reason being that as you all know, I'll be moving up to a bigger boat (my two older sons have suddenly shown a keen interest in fishing, especially the eldest, who goes shore fishing very often now).
The overall length of The Gaffer is 28 feet, waterline measures 26, with a beam of 10'2".  commisioned in 1978, she is a flybridge sport fisher built by Trojan Tachts, in conjuction with Bertram.  I personally shipped this boat from the USA from Savannah in the state of Giorgia.  This boat had only one previous carful owner, and comes with original Trojan Manual, and the original trojan Invoice.  She was powered by 1 shaft driven 5.7 V8 Mercruiser pertol engine.  I repowered with a brand new Steyr Marine diesel engine.  Her vast Inventory is as follows:

One important item I forgot to mention.  This is not a  boat that was built using normal resin.  This boat was built using epoxy, as this was the way they did things at Trojan Yachts. No chance of blistering!!! There are two heavy stringers made of high quality olive wood running all along the boat's length.  These stringers are also glassed in.  Bulk heads are top quality marine ply, and coated with high resistant anti fire, anti mould paint.  The boat is a very strong, sea worthy battle wagon.  She has been caught out in F6 to F7 head seas, and took on the sea without even a single pound running at 13/14 knts.  Top speed of the boat is 24Knts, while normal cruising is 18 knts, high end cruising (ideal cruise speed) is 20knts.  Because of her modified deep Vee hull, the boat is up on plane at just over 9knts.  An 8 inch keel running along 3/4 of the bottom keeps the boat in a stright moving direction, even with seas over F4 hitting her aside.  Fuel burn is fantastic.  From Malta to Siracusa (86 nautical miles), with a S'ly wind F2,  cruising at approx 18-19knts, the boat burns 165ltrs.  Trip completed in just over 4hrs and 30min.  Same fuel burn  returning back to Malta. Malta to Pozallo in 2hrs 45min.
The boat's interior was fully refurbished earlier this year, new laminate, teak trimmings, and inside paint job.
