Oris National Big Game Tournament: Participation

URGENT UPDATE

We need to know the details of all vessels participating in the event by the 25 May, 2011. We have just been advised by the FCD that a block licence will be issued for the Tournament only for the landing of BFT and Swordfish. Unless participants are covered and listed in the block licence, YOU WILL NOT be allowed to land BFT and swordfish.

So, spread the word around, and register those boats here.

Its important that we have this list complete by 25 May, which basically allows us one day to compile the full list and apply for the permit.

Again, if you know of anybody who wants to participate in the tournament, get him registered ASAP, or else that vessel will not be allowed to land BFT and/or swordfish during the tournament.

Up to now 15 boats have correctly registered and received their application form. All you have to do is send the following data on dr.carabott@marcompmalta.com and you will receive a copy of your application form which you have to bring on the 21 June during the briefing at Angiolina Bar Pretty Bay Birzebbuga at 7.30 p.m. and have it signed. After the 25 May each registered boat will receive a one day license for BFT. I am afraid after the 25 May no further licenses will be delivered.

Boat name, registration no, maximum speed and no of crew (without skipper)
Name of Fishing Club if registered with any

This data is required to register and for BFT permit.

Act as soon as possible and pass on the word to any other prospective skippers.

Hi Patrick Certificate of registry of a Valletta registered vessel has an ON (officail no) apart from name. Valletta vessels registered for fishing apart from the ON no there is a Fisheries registration number as well. This makes the difference in categories of boats.
Kindly forward the ON on, mobile no so we can contact you in case of need even during tournament and if you supply the email address I will send back a copy of the application form which will be needed for the breifing and the day of the Tournament. My email address dr.carabott@marcompmalta.com.
