Silvio/Skip the Optima Blue top Marine batteries....is it possible that the highest Capacity (Ah) they have is 75 Ah? My engine requires a Min of 70 Ah...i was looking more on the lines of a 90 or 100 Ah due to the fact that all my electronics use this one battery.

I am not that keen into batteries, but these optima seem to work differently for some reason i do not know.
Where other batteris need to be very large and with big AH, this is really small and say more powerful.....
But I cant' explain.. i Have 0 knowledge in electronics.

Steve you engine wouldn't need a min Ah it would need a min CCA or MCA.

CCA - Cold Cranking amps is expressed at -17C (not really applicable in Malta!)
MCA - Marine Cranking amps is expressed at 0C

The Optima Blue Top's will start even a 300hp, they have one model start only SLI and the rest are DC (Dual Cycle). They are listed as Optima's Marine range.

Varta have an AGM Start/Deep Cycle that I have, 95AH.

I would suggest seeing what Cambros and Schuberg can offer, both next door to each other with AC Delco

Work in progress moonwalker….I am going to connect the VHF directly to the battery so that I will not overload my current circuit. Also will be having my battery checked and most probably will be buying a new one just in case. Will also check my current wires for any corrosion/loose connections. I will be changing all my wiring next season, as from what I gathered its no good.
