Comming to Malta Aug1-5 would like to freedive/spear

Hello,

I will be visiting a friend in Malta (from the US) august 1-5, and would like to meet up with someone to do some freediving and maybe borrow a gun.

I current live in San Diego, and dive the kelp beds ranging from 40-70ft, usually with 10-20ft vis.

I would love to do some spearing but I am really looking to find some good visability and do some fun dives, I will be staying around Xemxija Bay.  Any information about this area is greatly appreciated.  Also if you have more information please PM me.

Also  what is the water like this time of year?  I usually dive in a 5mil wetsuit as our water ranges from 55-68.

  seriously??? no one can give me any info about spearing in Malta, or even just diving.  I am a little confused this is the Malta fishing forum, and this is the apnea section, I think that pertains to breath-hold diving?

Any info is appreciated.

Sorry mate but I am not that keen in giving any of my freediving disadvetures. I got more into fishing lately, and my freediving is being left by the side many times. I could go for a day and happen to dive most of the time, and the day after have only 5 dives, and my ears block......sooooooooooooo
