Vertical Jigging

Hello,

Vertical Jigging is (imo) the most tiring, challenging but satisfying way to fish.

I have some questions for the experts on this fishing technique:

1) Is it true that the best time is in the colder months? and why? Is summer a waste of time?
2) What is the best time of the day to Jig?
3) Do you need to find vertical drops for best results? or is a hill type of drop (slope) also good?
