looking for the best lures to trole for tuna, never fished for them in this part of the world so any help would be great thank you.

Billy - same lures you used when you trolled elsewhere for them.  Rapala magnum seem to do the trick here, same as jet heads and feather jigs.  Use the mainstream lures by williamson, moldcraft, H&H, and others.  I personally use Pakula lures, but that's just personal choice.

thanks gaffer, I am going out this weekend to try and put some in the boat, I am down in sicily but this forum is the only one on the block it would seem. I am sure that what works for you will do the trick down here, how deep of water do you trole in?

Ohh, Sicily!!...I thought you were in Malta.  In Sicily they have a great bait for tuna, its called sarda, about 6 to 7 inches long (about 20cm) try and get that as bait.  Then get the smaller sardines to chum with.
I usually troll the west coast, which is very deep, usually in 400 to  700mtrs of water, but I troll close to ridges and risers.
