Today I was suppose to go spearfishing with Andrew and Simon but had some work to do in the morning. After finished my job, went to help my friend Mario, and at 1.30pm I was free so took my staff and went for a dive. The sea was comming SW and normally it's doesn't promote good. But as soon as I entered in the water, I saw a good number of fish although it was still a bit early in time.

As for the amberjacks, I didn't saw one, but I was surprise of seeing about 30 2kg mullets, where yesterday I missed a 3kg one.

This is the catch for 4 hrs diving.

Fish missed where: 4 saragi (1 of 1.5kg), 2 1kg octopus

As for average,  it was a good catch

That's a very nice catch. Well done. I was in Gozo this weekend - went diving twice for about 2.5hrs each. The first dive seemed promising as the sea was very rough and as soon as I got in the water I saw some shoals of xilep - caught 2 sargi and 1 mingus in 30 mins and missed 2 sargi and 1 xilpa - then SCUBA divers came down and the fish just disappeared. The second dive was at Xwejni bay - was diving in about 12-15m but there wasn't any fish. However, I really enjoyed this dive as the visibility was astounding - never seen anything like it - at 15m I could see the seabed better than I usually do at 7m - just amazing.
Man will never be able to stop time but he can get very close by freediving.

can i suggest something that is usually missed out when displaying photos. Can you include something of familiar size like a box of matches or pkt of cigarettes so that one can relate the size of fish. Having said that  well done man a good catch whatever the size.

this is another good catch. Two nice barracudas, the bigger one caught by Mario
