ACR PLB

Last week i bought an acr plb from the US but programmed specifically for european use with UK country code.  Does anybody know how i can register the unit?  Can i register it with some authority in malta?  Or somewhere online?

As far as I know you still cannot register a PLB with the MCA, but always worth calling them. If with UK, as below:

New Registration (ticked)
Name of vessel: fill in yours!
Type of vessel: select pleasure
Max Number of people carried: fill in yours and be accurate

MMSI and Call Sign if you have
Beacon Manufacturers Name:
Beacon Type:
Beacon Serial Number (From the label on the beacon):

Hex ID (15 characters eg: 9D0... or 1D... etc):  (15 hexadecimal digital so A-F and 0-9)

Personal Details:
Enter appropriately, ensure you put MALTA in the address, ensure you have +356 before your telephone numbers, list multiple 24 hour contacts
