Dear All,
Have anyone experienced clutch slipping on this type of gearboxes? Do they suffer from a particular item which causes the cluthes to slip? I am going through all this. Oil type and level are OK, prop sizes ok also. Thanks

redhead

How old is the gearbox ? How many hours aprox ?

techno drive gearbixes are reliable. hiwever, by wear and use sometimes the  clutch needs a rebuild. it can be done by yourself if you have some mechanival knowledge. i presume the clutch has worn out and

Redhead , I don't know how much hours it has worked, it's 8 years old, I'm not a fulltime fishermen, so for me it's a relatively new box.

You have to change the clutches than as Granitu explained. if the oil level is OK and the boat is not overloaded than it must be the clutches. Unfortunately they do not come cheap.
