Rigs, bait and where to go

I come to Malta quite regularly and have rods and reels etc over here, I've been to Cicawwa a few times and not caught anything using squid, shrimps and red worm.  Could anyone give us advice on what rigs and hook size to use and anywhere else to fish that is wheelchait friendly. tia
