I have some cheap rods(i got good ones as well)that i had for long years. But like shanook said...i always rinse them under running water and wipe them. They are all in very good condition.I think that the most important thing is to rinse them in water after every fishing trip, and no matter what rod or reel you have it will always last long
Fishing, fishing ,fishing thats all i think about.

I am sure everyone knows but i would feel guilty if i didn't say it. Please be careful when rinsing or washing reels, if u use a jet of water than the salt gets pushed in the reel and without knowing u would be destroying ur reel from the inside where u cannot see whats happening till too late. so better to use a sponge and soak ur reel or else have slow running water to wash away the salt.
