| September 08, 2009, 14:48:18 CET I'm not sure the 4/1 will make any difference. With that setting it is like stretching the picture but will not give any extra detail. PS - can an admin put this as a new thread as it might be interesting for others too. |

| September 05, 2009, 22:57:15 CET that option (1/1) that was talking about this: 1.10 Choosing Picture Advance Speed The picture advance speed determines how quickly the vertical scan lines run across the screen. When choosing a picture advance speed, keep in mind that a fast advance speed will expand the size of the fish school horizontally on the screen and a slow advance speed will contract it. A fast advance speed is useful for observing the rugged bottom minutely. A slow advance speed is useful for observing the smooth bottom. 4. Use up arrow or down arrow to choose picture advance speed desired and press the ENTER key. 1/16 is the slowest speed and 4/1 is the fastest speed. 1/16 means one scan line is produced every 16 transmissions. Current picture advance is displayed at the top-right corner of the screen. | September 05, 2009, 22:35:11 CET i will check more regards the surface thing. Re about the 4/1, if you see the upper right side on yours is 1/1 where my friend as soon as he saw it immediately told me that there was the problem. Try to set it like how he told me and let me know pls. |

| August 29, 2009, 01:27:07 CET How is the transducer installed? It can be bubbles coming from the properer or from the hull of the boat. But to work in a proper way th ratio of the picture has to be 4/1 |

| August 02, 2009, 01:45:10 CET As busu says that is not noise. When its noise it will be on the whole screen. The top echoes must be due to change in temperature or current while the bottom echoes must be vegitation or fish. But I am no expert yet in interpreting these pictures. |

| August 01, 2009, 14:07:15 CET i dont think that the green area in the bottom is noise clutter. even on my friends finder sometimes u cme on a place and shows like those. when you move they disappear an when you go on the same spot they come again so there must be something on the bottom but i dont know what it is. |

| August 01, 2009, 08:14:57 CET u have to set the gain manually as u have a lot of nosie clutter both in the surface as well as on the bottom. bottom sandy but not too deep as there is that yellow streak that shows hard bottom. (i am daring to interpret these so that if I made a mistake I learn as well). |
