Description: This was the second BFT which was much bigger and gave us a hell of a longer fight, well over an hour. Caught with the same tackle as the first tuna. Unfortunately we did not manage to take any pics of the fish because we did not want to harm the fish by gaffing it and so as soon as we tried to grab hold of its tail besides the boat it gave a final jerk and the leader snapped. It was a amazing fighter and beautiful to see surface and go around the boat.

shanook Posts:3007 | June 30, 2010, 13:43:56 CET for those who are interested in bringing in a tuna for a picture use a tail snare. Its like a noose so u grab the tuna by the tail and it wont harm it. |
