Description: 2 squid caught today on yamashita lure, 0.16mm line and 2.8m telescopic spinning rod action 5-20g - no net got to the pier, 8-10 already fishing and stayed at the side..... there seemed to be no action..... took out the 3*3W lamp and connected to power supply (old car battery). rigged up 2 rods as mentioned above, one with 0.16mm line and the other slighty heavier with 0.18mm line on a 2.7m 15-35g action telescopic spinning rod...... first cast with the light gear......... bang ..... 1st squid on and shortly on the pier..... by now i'm already getting 'the looks' ...... 2 nd cast on light gear....... bang again...... this time its even pulling out some drag...... 2nd squid on the pier and 'the looks' keep on coming and a comment or 2 are heard........ all settles down until 30 min or so later....... the cuttlefish is drawn to my light and after a little game 'chase the lure', the cuttlefish was also on the pier....... its been a while since squid fishing produced some fun...... i think i'll go again tomorrow, never know, i might get ;the looks' again
