As now the transition season should be shortly arriving ie between the blue fin and albacore to the transition of swords and lampuki i was wondering whether we should have a go at drifting and chumming.

My initial question to all you off shore ppl is when you chum for your fish have you found the thing that fish around the maltese islands just die for?

I have heard many methods of so and i have found all to be very valid. As regards to chumming i have heard cut up fish, different types of home made pastes, oils, some times even some mixed cat and dog food.

Keep me posted

you can also use chaper fish eg mullet or vopi chop yhem up and soak them in sardine oil and fish blood and guts.
i seriosly recomend you do this as far away from your house as possible as it stinks really badly what a friend of mine does is used a 45gallon drum to mix every thing up and then mixes in lots of salt and closes it up for a couple of days before using it.
