Guys, should be is not good enough.  You're eaither in or out.  There are a good number of boats that want to do it tomorrow, however, we are one team here.  So at least, a definite answer would be appreciated

Hey, what part of "Bring your own Beer" didn't you understand ?

Same here! I do believe that the sea will not calm down as fast as you might be thinking. To return back to Xemxija from Filfa in force 4 weather is not much fun. Crusing at 22/24 knots it takes me approx 1 hour to get back to Xemxija in force 2 weather from outside Filfla. I would have to leave Filfla at approx 10/10.30 to arrive at Xemxija in time and safe.  So me and my crew have decided that we will not take part tom! Sunday is fine for us! Thanks

Concerning safety I want to stress a point without placing undue pressure. Your actions dictate your safety more than the sea conditions. If you go at speed you're not being safe, if you go too far out you're not being safety, if you go wondering off 20 miles on your own you're not be safe.

One has to adjust a bit and use some safety common sense. Sunday there is a good chance that the forecast will come like tomorrow, so with the same number of boats on Sat or Sunday I'm inclined to stick with Sat.

Boat from Xemija don't need to fishing down near Filfla.......again like I said common sense guys. We're doing this for fun, winning is nice but its not the be all or end all....and hedging your bets on Sunday could turn into the same as Sat, so are you guys then gonna pull out as well!

shanook

I dont see any difference from Sat to Sun. the sea will remain as it is.Its been too rough for too long and the smallest breeze will raise the waves. So whether Sat or Sun its going to be in the same situation.

busumark

those who are going from xemxija have to go at least in fron of gnejna to fish and so to go back they will have to go in the nw wind and if picks force 4 it wont be nice for the small boats. according to windfinder and malta weather for 4 for to-morrow and even maybe on sunday. we can do it maybe next week end or the week end after. ok you will tell that alungi will not be here BUT even now there are no alungi this week only a few were caught and a lot of people didnt even catch one

I suggest people start using this of windfinder http://www.windfinder.com/forecasts/wind_italy_s_akt.htm

This shows you the wind out on the West coast and not the wind over luqa which is pointless.

Sunday is so far looking better so I think we should switch in the interests of trying to make it as safe as possible.
