ABU Reels

HI Is there any one in Malta that uses ABU reels either from the shore or on the boats, I have found a few shops that sell them in Malta, but have never seen anybody ever fish with one. thanks for your help nozthe viking

I thing you're talking about the ABU GARCIA right ?
If so I've got a cardinal which I use for spinnging especially squids and I'm really in love with it !!! :p Wonderful machine

Thanks chris yes they are called Abu Garcia now, glad to hear you like useing them your the first person that has owned up to owning one,especialy a Abu Cardinal, is it one of the newer cardinals ? Ilove the old origanal cardinals from the 1960s I have quite a few different models that I like to use when I AM OVER THERE IN MALTA, I also have a few of their Ambassader multiplier type reels for beach casting and boatfishing. I have had a couple of reelsw from ta bormla in mosta I found the gentleman who owns the shop to be very helpfull whenever I have been there, Trouble is every time I go into a fishing shop in Malta I see another reel that will look good in collection, Every time I come home Ifind my suitcase is getting closer and closer to the absolute weight limit that the airlines will allow me, I am seriously going to have to consider getting an apartment in Malta just to keep my fishing tackle in. To save me carrying it home each time.

i have a better solution Noz, donate the hardly ever used, practically brand new reel to the forum to be given in the next competition LOL.............

OHH BLIMEY SHANOOK !!! WHEN I saw your suggestion Ihad to go and lie down in a darkened room and take my happy pills, No seriously you can have the wife and kids, the dog, cat, rabbit and both guinea pigs but dont ask me to give up one of my reels. I love them all. You as a fisherman should understand this !!!!!!  But thanks for the idea I will have to think about it and see if I can come up with something might be something in it
