Is it good to fish from shore after it rains? Some people say it is good, I would like to hear the opinions of the regulars on this forum :)

it is very very good. Especially after the first rain of the season as the shore is full of breadcrumbs and other stuff which serves as a good groundbait!

I love the first rain to start the pole fishing season for mullet
the fishing gods might have something for me tomorrow I'll be fishing

I found it good after a storm (but im talking with trolling line). Because the fish it still hungry !. Maybe after the  rain its the same reason why you will have a good resaults!!

Best is trolling when the rain is pooring very lightly as the fish bite at the surface ;) Did my best tumbrell catch in the rain

a thing I do not like is spearfishing under the rain. It gets me wet  ;D ;D ;D

As for spearfishing its really good cos the fish doesn t notice your small noise mistakes

Being a "newcomer" to the forum & Maltese fishing, I must say that I saw many more, & bigger fish, caught last Thursday, after the storm, when the water was dirty. This might have been because there were more people fishing, however those who were there most days, caught more bigger fish than usual. Maybe the fact that the fish cant see you, & are tempted closer to shore may be the answer, but as the water cleared, the catches got smaller in quantity, & quality, for the "Marsascala Jetty Angling Club"! ;D
