I am finding this to be an interesting topic more and more as seasons go by. I have been doing a lot of browsing and see more and more of these electronic pulsating fishing lures, some with light and some without. The latest i have been researching on are ionizers for boat hulls.

My question is deep down, are these really gimmicks or do they work. One thing i definitely beleive in fishing is see to beleive. I cannot count how many stories i have heard that get twisted as they get passed on from person to another and normally unintentionally gets either exaggerated or wrong.

Has anyone got any stories to share regarding these electronic in  our fishing? Has anyone been disappointed with anything electronic as regarding to fishing (not gps, fish finders or any other related boat matter).

I think you're one of the few ppl, if not the only one who owns an electronic lure in Malta. The Tuna Magnets is what I'm curious about :) They current recommended method if you troll is to have them mounted to the hull in a similar location to a fishfinder transducer. Supposed to attract Tuna up to a range of 2 miles or so in a 360' pattern. When you stop and you're drifting you can just imagine how effective it would be assuming it works.
