Give this guy (mellieha) a chance to explain himself , maybe he didn't know that is illegal to go spearfishing at night,personally I go spearfishing for years and I've learned that spearfishing at night is illegal from a topic in this forum about two months ago and not from the autorithies who make the laws

this is why I didn t made any reply. Still lots of word getting around but no one and even the authority had ever came on me telling telling me the rules. We just go and pay.

But heared that this year while paying the licence the police is giving some papers regards the laws

Some members, (especially ones I do not know personally) ask some silly questions sometimes, and think that we will answer whatever they ask for!! Maybe he was asking us this intentionally!!!!!!!!!!
That's why I gave him a straightforward answer. Love me or hate me, I always express my genuine feeling.
And to tell you the truth, even if it was legal, I still find spearfishing at night cowardish.
Now if this guy, asked this question without knowing anything about this hot issue, i excuse myself with him for being so hard, but its nothing personal and he can continue enjoying the benefits of this forum freely. No heart feelings

Dear Friends,

Sorry for asking such a non sense. What I know is that from experience I see many spearfishers at night. I never even imagined it was illegal.

Personally I have never tried spearfishing before apart from spearfishing from our boat for hniezer beneat my own cimi (kanizati).
As I previously tried to explain I am new to spearfishing due to cercumstances I had to adapt myself.

I was impressed by some comments, well let me say that some were justfied in the greater good of the sport but try to give others a chance to explain themselves.

If I may suggest why doesn't someone knowledgable of the laws post the laws in a permanent way on the web site. Not only the one's relating to spearfishing but laws pertaining to fishing in general. In this way someone like me would not have any excuses of not knowing the law. (although ignorance of the law is no excuse).

I invite those of you will not believe my intentions to send me a pm to meet and explain better.

I would like to ask baghrija why yo think I asked that question intentionally?? Do you think I have some sort of hidden agenda?? Put your mind at rest that my only intention is to be able to practice spearfishing safe and soundly.

Being ignorant and asking A QUESTION IS BETTER THAN BREAKING THE LAW?

Intollerance and Doubt are the work of the devil..........as the good book said Bagira..'' dont do unto others what Spnotta did unto u'' and I hope that Spnotta takes this lightly otherwise I would have opened the gates of H....
Kidding of course.
At the forum we should never ever doubt or accuse anyone of something that we are not sure of. Its done its cleared lets move on. Rules can be posted if anyone has them like we did with the fish sizes. Although it still needs some tuning.

...I learnt my lesson...I get misinterpreted very easily and my real intention, opinion and feelings get lost. No beating about the bush...straight to the point

I am not justifying any of the posts but you have to look at the two sides...and understand the background.

Unfortunately time is not currently my friend...I really would like to contribute more in regards to regulations/directives and law.

Hopefully in the near future.

Naaaaaaaaa dont worry spnotta baghira has been here long enough to know that what we say is in good faith and between friends. He better otherwise we start pulling his leg (he pulls others most of the time anyways).
So any takers to get the rules for spearfishing sorted out.
