Im staying in Nadur, any suggestions for easy access fishing, dont want to upset anyone by plonking myself down on harbour walls etc that i shouldnt be on...

That really does suck, what timing. Sorry to hear that. Perhaps some of the guys who have fished that area can point you in the right direction. You shouldn't have a problem fishing on harbour walls etc.

Sorry to hear about your foot but luckily for you there are a few good places which are flat and easily accesed
1 mgarr harbour for fishing for mullett and bream during the day and spinning at night
2 the breakwater in marsalforn  good for general bottom fishing and spinnig.
3 xlendi bay , hondoq ir rummien , dwejra , dahlet qorrot all have slipways with concrete jetts you can fish off
4 If you feel adventerous you can try Qbajjar which where salt pans the ground is quite flat and there are good access roads in my opinion it is one of the best places to fish in the whole maltese archipelago !!!!

You guys are brillant Grin I spent a few days been throughly hacked off thinking I was gonna miss out on the decent fishing, thats cheered me up no end.....

Going to concentrate on spinning at night and bream / mullet in the day...Im happy I know what Im doing for mullet..For the bream any tips? I was thinking fine wire hooks, running leads on the bottom and on the float with a worm bait. What do you think? Also Im gonna have to turn down your kind offer of spearfishing Simon...but many thanks for it Maybe next year Smiley

Daks, I can't promise, but if the weather permits and the office don't play hardball with leave, we may plan a trip on the West coast of the island, out from Gozo. If that happens I can pull into Mgarr and hop along (no pun intended), you can still work a reel sitting (though no fighting chair).

Thanks allot will be for next time
as regards setup of bream thats good enough but i would stick with running ledgers
and as bait you can go to a fish shop and buy squid, cuttlefish or shrimp
best regards hope we meet up
