GPS Map updates

Hi,

Does anyone know how or has ever updated his maps on his GPS. I own a Garmin GPSMAP 420s model. I have tried to contact Garmin support from there website but when I try and submit the question it gets an error on the page. I went to the shop from where I purchased the unit and when I asked them about updating my card they told me that it would be best to buy a new card which is quite expensive.

Try the US garmin site and don't say where you live! Otherwise I suggest contacting Garmin UK by phone.....however I don't think Map updates are free.

Thanks Skip, I'm sure they are not free but I guess maybe cheaper than buying a new card. Why shouldn?t I tell them where I live I am afraid that in order to contact them online I have to enter my country.
