i think it would be a good idea if a topic is opened regards tips on how to avoid catching small fish, so less experienced anglers will learn..

The only thing that comes to mind is bigger hooks...

But I'm sure there's much more..

the mesh size of the trammel nets should be 35mm. in a 35mm mesh we have never caught trill amd you will notice because you will have 8 nets with mesh size 35 and then the last net will be of mesh 25 and you will find it full of trill. Once we caught 13kg of trill in 1 net and they were not small. all 15cm+
