Hey everybody, first of all Happy summer to you all haha  ;D. I finally finished my exams so I have some time to go hunting once again hehe. Though I've been a bit out of practice and I need some advice. Amongst other things I'd like to know how to keep your bloody legs pinned the sea bed when doing an aspetto. Call me a noob but I can't seem to fully sink to the bottom so i end up partically covered with my feet dangling over me like a billboard telling the fish Hey look who's here! So some advice on that issue may prove very useful. Also if u have any advice on how and where to catch black bream (or any other tasty bream for that matter) please feel free to indicate. Thank Guys have a good day :)

ankle weights and more depth- not much depth

that is a problem italians call it "aquacita'" the easiness to move freely and relax in water. i ve been training all the time during school days to achieve an acceptable level and keep a prime level of fitness.. it is a must to have it when one is practicing such a physically demanding sport
Good season so far.....

ankle weights help a lot, and saying for me I never go out without. These helps me to have more power while fining and as you said while doing aspetoes they help me having my legs to the bottom. Also remember that different types of fins react in different way where their bouncy is different. Even the thickness of the suit makes you problems but think with the ankle weights you will avoid it.

If need pics of my home made ones let me know so I post a pic. Mine are just 300-400gr that can be worn between the socks and the trousers

Black Bream  ??? (Tannuta) I never caught one in my life,  so I don't think I can help.  Other breams are common all along the coast of the island.  Look for places which have boulders and small rocks on the bottom and I'm sure you'll come across some.

cool thx guys  :) Yes emic i'd appreciate it if u could show me your home made weights. By the way, last time I was wondering what is the right moment to start your aspetto. I mean if there's a particularly large fish which I'm keen on catching how should I approach the matter? Should I follow discretely and then go down when the time is right or just do an aspetto at any given moment and catch whatever comes my way at the given moment?

aspetto means wait snice, i would refrain from chasing.

aspetto today is very good for small ajs, especially if near a drop off or in open waters under cliffs. the fact that you conceal yourself to the open emits vibrations that attracts such predators

modern aspetto means aspetto+ a little agguato, but one should never follow a fish openly. the snake is a perfect example for agguato. you have to surprise the fish, not let her know your hunting... we are not as fast as fish

conceal yourself well and use boulders/shelters.... it has to be like you are playing hide and seek with the fish waiting for the right time to catch the fish. there are many factors and it is the most difficult technique in spearfishing. both physically and technically

Hi SNICE. you can do an aspetto either if you see a fish i.e. sargi , cervjol , sawrell , cudas, denci, spnott they can all be caught by d aspetto tech, or you can do an aspetto and just wait for a fish to approach you , it will help you if you choose the right time at the right moment , what do i mean if for ex you see small vopi or zabri or cawl getting scared you know thats the right time to do an aspetto .
If I give you a fish I'll be feeding you once, if i'll show you how I caught it I'll be feeding you for ever.
