My friend had his tender stolen earlier this year, I,m sure he would be greatfull for your old dinghy, also on thursday of last week they stole his small trolling outboard of his boat. I wish I could find out who did it, he saves money to buy things for his boat and then some ba-----s come in the night and steal them   >:(  >:(  >:(
If you can't eat it don't kill it.

Keith he's clearly being targeted and not in a good area....leaving things like small aux engines on a boat is a really bad idea, as well as any other gear that can be removed. In Xemxija they removed an entire lower unit off a 200hp outboard overnight.

Same is happening in Bbugia area !!! Teared canvas tops, stolen gboxs, props etc !!!

Guys,

Repairing dinghies is quite an easy prosedure.  First one has to identify the type.  There are 2 main one's the childrens quality (small powered on oars - one can buy from souvenir shopds) and the one's divers use.

The procedure is the same only the products used are different.

1.  Find the punctured area when dinghi is inflated.
2.  Identify the size of the patch to use.  Generally leave at least 1 cm of the crack or hole on each side. And mark it with a felt pen.
3.  Deflate the dinghi.
4.  With sand paper that is provided gently rub the indicated area.
5.  Apply the glue.  Leave for 30 mins.
6.  Apply glue again on the dinghi and on the patch.  Leave 2-3 mins.
7.  Apply the patch onto the pre-marked area.  Release any bubbles that may be entrapped.  (their is a specific tool vulcanisers like me use but at home one can us a spoon)
8.  Apply pressure for 5 mins.
9.  Inflate after at least 6 hrs.

The items needed can be easily purchased and all the necessary glue and patches are provided.

This procedure is similar to both types of dinghies.

Thanks for that info but it is a fibre/wood, another reason I need another one is that I weigh 110kg and I can nearly put it under the water line depending where I stand or lean
