basically... i'm still a beginner so odds are it'll be xilep and small sargi in shallow water... and if i'm on the boat and i get a sawrella going around me, i might try take a blind shot from on the boat....

If you never used a speargun before, then start off with the 75.  It's not going to be easy to catch some fish but it will help you decide if you want to persue the sport

Be very very very very careful, make sure the gun is touching the water and pointing downwards.  I heard of some serious accidents with loaded spear guns out of the water. 

Regards the mares phantom, I read good reviews about it.  If the price is right, go for it.

thanks for the info.... but this guy in the video was asking for it!!!! I mean, he's miles away from the sea... + i plan on having a reel attached so the spear is meant to keep on going and not bounce back.... pricewise i found it at 135 euro.... and got a further discount at 115 euro... what do you think?

What i am sure of it that its supplier (subaqua supplies) is a real thrustworth source. You will get a good discount and good aftersales.
As reg. the gun, I do not know exactly about, but for a 75, and the use you want for it, it has to be good.

More professional advice at the bbq please after a couple of lager...........
