Blank is 6'. Then there is another 2" for the Gimbal and Butt Cap.

Skip what do you think of this style?

I think the split grips give it a more modern look. The other advantage is that you can theoretically balance the rod to a specific reel, and adjust the reel seat position to the user's prefered height.

The empty space between the grips can be used to write the owner's name, their MFF Nickname, a picture of a fish , etc ....

Under 2 kgs of load ... Curve looks nice, confirms the moderate action of the blank. This rod has a lot of potential, i loaded it up to about 4kgs and it is soooo progressive.

I like that style, def need to find the time to meet up and discuss some ideas and get your feedback in general on spinning style jigging rods

Well most jigging rods are spinning style, the italians and americans are now introducing with quite a bit success the casting type, using lightweight multiplier reels, which pack a lot of drag.  I have also seen a hybrid of the two.  It employs a multiplier reel, and the guides are fixed spirally, begining as a casting rod and moving towards a spinning rod at the tip, they are a work of art and very ingenius!

300 grams for 60-80m depth...... don't overdo it with the lead cos you'll get tired with all that weight. ;)

It really depends what length and action you are looking for in the rod. I don't think it is any different to Spinning or VJ Rods. What reel will you use, Spinning or conventional?

Will use spinning reel maybe an 8000,about the length approx 2.7 to 3.00 metres. Will be fishing in 60 to 80 metres depth, what do you suggest??
