Hello Guys, I've started fiddling around with rods lately, and I have recently completed a Vertical Jigging rod, which I have built myself.

To give you a little detail:

Blank: Custom Builder, Prototyped and developed in the United States, these rod blanks are constructed from a carbon tape and multi modulus weave mixture along with a single ply of glass fabric.
Line Weight: 30-50Lbs
Lure Weight: 115 - 250g
Action: Moderate
Grips: Black EVA 13" rear, 8" Front
Reel Seat: American Tackle graphite
Guides: American Tackle Black Halide.

Some pictures:

Guides wrapped and waiting to be finished in epoxy

Same guide finished in epoxy, will get 48hrs curing then another epoxy coat.

Some more miscellaneous pics

Fantastic work Charles! Looks like we finally have our own rod builder here in Malta Smiley

How about we get some video of it in use as a review?

Thanks for the compliments guys. It takes patience by the container loads to tie those guides.  Now I truely appreciate why custom rods are so expensive.

@ Skip:  When I get the chance to try it, I'll give you a full report.  However, the fact that I do not have a boat doesn't help lol Tongue

This is the lighter 20 to 40Lbs rod on a Blue Shark
