Went there and applied for the license. You were right, they wanted the original. It was useless urguing with them abou it. It was either a take it or levae it situation.
For me this is the first time I had to serander an original certificate. Nobody has ever demanded an original of a GCE, City & guildts, music,etc...

i don't agree with you, because at the end of the day, you know they are providing you with the certificate to obtain your licence..... having the licence is a certificate in itself.

totally disagree rob. that certificate belongs to the individual and they should never take it away from you. I am not sure but if feels like they are doing an illegal thing to ask and keep in their possession an original certificate. they should keep a copy after they see the original or else accept one with a lawyer's stamp that it is a 'true copy of original'
