no worries ...... i don't own a handheld gps..... the only gps i have is integrated(built in) inside the car which in turn connects it to some anti teft global network of satalittes...... no plans of bringing the car fishing. Also, with albies...... there's no knowing where they would be....... like lampuki, its a migrating fish, you either find it or you don't which gives ALL particpants an equal chance..... remember last years winner ::) ....  so much for the magic lures..... only made one disappearing act.

Just to clear one point about the Alungi competition please. Who gets the Oris watch, is it the Skipper of the winning boat, the one who catches the most Alungi (individual), or the one who catches the heaviest fish (Alungi)   ???
If you can't eat it don't kill it.

its the same question i asked a couple of weeks ago and this is the answer i got from Skip:

"Detailed information concerning these prizes will be posted in due course once we have finalised the additional prizes from our sponsors. As you can see we are catering for 3 prizes/trophies per boat in the 1st-3rd category, if a boat wants to have more people entered that's up to them but they will not have prizes/trophies"

however it seems that only one prize per boat and trophies for the rest, correct me if im wrong

I believe the watch goes to the skipper of the winning boat along with all the prizes and trophies, its then up to the skipper to allocte/ split prizes with crew.

Redbus: the winner of the alungi competition gets the oris watch, in which case its the skipper of the winning boat, along with the other prizes attached to 1st place. Its up to the skipper to devide the prizes with his crew.

Thanks Gaffer, but that could mean the skipper dosent catch any fish himself only his crew and he ends up with the watch, so effectivley only the skippers can win the watch ?

Thats right redbus9

Dnt want to be a pain in the a..

however in my opinion i think that it would have been better to have lets say 3 watches of €500 each as a first prize instead of a single watch

however its not up to me to make these decisions
