Earlier this month l spent 3 weeks away fishing in the Norther Territory Australia at a place called King Ash Bay. This location is unique that you can sight cast to Barrumundi hiding in shallow water among mangrove tree roots.
we use 30lb braid on 6 ft rods and a leader of about 60lb. The trick is to yank them out of the roots before you get tangled.

My girlfriend Talina invited me up to spend the time with her and family and friends. She is a 'GUN' fisherperson, and any of you guys that think that girls cant fish are mistaken

I had an unfortunate accident getting a treble hook in 2 fingers at once, but luckily with some fishing line and a pair of long nose pliers, we were able to get them out of my fingers and continue fishing....l did drink half a bottle of johnny walker scotch that night though  :P

We also enjoyed catching and eating mud crabs. YUMMY!!!!!!

Queenfish are a bye catch while casting to barra with shallow diving hard bodied lures...but lots of fun with their high speed bursts in shallow water.

Check out this short clip of the trip.

What can l say??? Australia is the lucky country  ;D

We're here for a good time...Not a long time
