Parking Trailers

If you read the law I quoted above, you will understand that you should treat the trailer as a normal car, I do not see where the difficulty is. However, since I could always be wrong, perhaps someone might care to write a letter to a newspaper: the Police or whoever is concerned will usually reply.

Can anybody tell me what is the situationon regarding what we should do with the trailer when we go with the boat, cause I think that this regulation is extremly stupid

There are certainly lots of things going on at the moment, MEPA, this topic and Fisheries issues - unfortunately as Skip you'll have to count me out until November as I won't have the time until them.

Dear Mr Grixti,

I am to inform you that the Mellieha Local Council has introduced an arrangement, whereby one can park boat trailers towed to a vehicle for a limited number of hours. However, this arrangement does not apply to boat owners having holiday homes within the locality who will be using their boat during their three month stay. In such cases, it is advisable that the boat is kept moored and the trailer returned to the ordinary residence of its owner, or garaged.

yes baghira but do the police and wardens who are giving the parking tickets know that you can park the trailer for a certain number of hours.
