guys I have a maxxon inflatable dingy which has a small hole! I found it by chance as it was oozing water! It is in a rather difficult place to access and not sure I can easily apply a repair patch (part of the hem beneath a belt) - is there someone specialised in dinghy repairs or would any puncture repair guy sort me out?
thanks

As far as I know there is only 1 or 2 persons who repairs inflatables here in Malta.
You can read this Topic:

Marine Engines, Inboard/Outboard Maintenance, and boat related maintenance.

But they are somehow very expensive. Guess why?Huh :-)

Best is to buy a kit from Msida which includes glue, patch, and hardener and brush and you do it yoruself for only 22euro.

Don't forget that it has to be PVC Glue for Maxxon

PP.... are you talking about Reuben the tire repair shop? He just lives around the corner from me. I have seen dingies at his shop but do not know if he actually repairs them.

GG - Never heard about this guy, but then I never had a dinghy. I am from M'Scala, having lived here for 28 years but do not know where this garage is.
I am curious where this shop is. I will ask Reuben tomorrow morning, look Jesmomd up and revert with contact details. Its good that "dinghy owners" get to know of such a place. Sure enough, these "marine mechanics/repair shops" know very well how to get paid!!

There's a guy in marsascala who does repairs.  He's good, a bit costly yes, but gets the job done.

Mela GG, Fisheye and Friend Baghira - Out of curiosity I went and found Jesmond's garage. It is as stated very close to Dell' Etna Pizzeria. He was closed but if anybody needs his cell number, its..7942 0436, Tabella fuq il garage reads.."Riviera Inflatable Dinghy Repairs".
