I finally got the combination togather and I hope to be testing them this summer.  The rod is a light jigging rod that is sensitive enough for inchiku work. It's mounted for conventional reels, hence the Shimano baitcaster.

I have faith in this technique as I think it will be a lot more appealing to some people, since it does not involve the hard work that Jigging entails.  However good knowledge on how to use the fish finder, some good spots and a bit of luck are still required  Roll Eyes

The rod is a MajorCraft Crostage CRJ-B60/3 it is a one peice, 6 foot rod, mounted with the latest fuji SiC KW guides.  Takes lures from 60 to 120g and lines of PE 1 to 3.

Reel is a Shimano JDM model, Curado Type-J 301, with a 6.2:1 retrive giving 72cm per crank.  It's max drag is 6.5Kgs according to shimano.

I'll take some better close up pics later on, and put in some more info once i get the chance to test it.

Malvizzu that is not a rod that I built Smiley it's one of the rods I sell, from MajorCraft. I was going to build the inchiku rod myself but when I made the costing it was going to cost me 3 times as much.

Finally got the chance to test out the rod.  Thanks to Skip for taking me along.

First impressions are good, it's sensitive and very light.  The baitcasting reel did take some time to get used to, but I can now undertand why it is so popular for inchiku work. You just click it into free spool and control the descent of the jig with your thumb Smiley

Unfortunately, no fish ... so that will be another report. Hopefully more detailed.
