you are right caldaland ....... even i'm not impressed with such emails.

I will have a meeting tomorrow with OPM administration and will inform you how it goes!

So far i'm still getting my boat as usual and in such a case I will use the email stated.

In the meantime fingers crossed ...... my boat will be on sale if i do not get this right

It will not be worth any more going out at sea!

I ve not heard of any fines lately.
Do not challenge authorities. I know how their reactions are.

today they phoned me from OPM and told me that we're not doing any infringments.

Let's kill the issue guys ...... and if someone from here (member) gets a fine then we'll see.

i got another call this evening ..... from Prime ministers office and who wants to take this as official now listen .....

A hard working man (who does not want to say his name) working in OPM did a hell of a job today.

he told me:

around 20 contraventions were issued to date but all had been contested and reversed.
he was in contact with police HQ and arrangements have been done so that no more fines will be issued this summer.
However they still have to make it official with wardens and local police stations, but promised me that this week all should be clear.
No one wants to make this in writing as the law is so vague that no one wants to put his name on it however he promised me that no more fines for summer, however they will be looking and revising the law in coming winter.
So at this stage i think we should team up and make ourselves present when discussing such law!
In the meantime I think and re-suggest that we should stop the (Usual Maltese) grumbling and enjoy our sports.

Whoever gets a ticket may mssg me and i give him this person's details so that he helps him out.

I'm not very happy how it is going as it looks very much (the maltese) way, but at least we are being heard.

So ....... go fishing and park your trailer as usual. Keep in mind ... no double lines, no in front of garages etc etc .......

the most important thing and I have learnt a lot from this thing is - do not take much notice of people grumbling and grumbling. Just stick to facts ...... lets enjoy our boating and if someone really gets a contravention then we will see and tackle accordingly
