From land you can use spinning methods, use heavy shining metal jigs (metalla) in the 30 or 40gr range according to your spinning rod. Best places that I know about are St Elmo point, Tigne point, from Wied ix-Xoqqa up to all west coast where ever is possible to reach the sea from land. Gozo from Xwejni up to Wied L-Ghasri coast, Xlendi point, ta Cenc velly and Xatt l-Ahmar. Don't go very light on tackle and prepare to have some extra length of line on the reel. I fished most places I mentioned above with some good results, Best time of the year is from November onwards and they can bite early in the morning as much as late in the afternoon practically all day long.
