Are there any areas around the islands affected by strong tides or currents that I ought to be aware of and avoid if I am kayak fishing? The reason I ask is that in Cornwall depending on where and when I am kayak fishing the tides can be potentially quite dangerous. I am just trying to identify a few safe and interesting locations to kayak fish from when I visit as part of my research.

Thanks,

Yogi

Tides not really an issue out here in the Med, the shift is minimal. You will get some rip currents on the West Coast but they tend to be near the shoreline. I've snorkled in the area and never had issues.
