Buying new Speargun

hey guys I'm quite new to the forum & been spearfishing for about 3 months  & now looking to buy a new speargun. Here are the ones I am interested in:
1. Omer Cayman 90
2. Mares Phantom 75
4. Mares viper 75 2012 - new model

What are your opinions?

I went to the shops & tried them, here are my thoughts:

Felt that Mares guns are of higher quality than omer ones especially the trigger, The Phantom is light but not sure about fiber glass, the new viper felt really good & the Cayman is not bad but felt that the trigger wasn't of high quality.

I can't hold my breath for long underwater but interested in longer aspetto fishing in the future.

Anyone have any experience with these guns?

As for me, I really don t like Omer due that had loads of problems. As for phantom, it has a really sensative trigger that it looks a bit danger. As for the Viper, cannot say nothing due that I never tried it.

If you want a good, trouble free speargun, size 75, go for an esclapese. Never had any problem and its around 70-80euro complete with a good setup

I'm Also interested in cressi geronimo & Beuchat Marlin. What I'm undecided upon is the size, for now I go in shallow waters(8-10mtrs max) so a 75 would be Ideal but I would like to be able to shoot a nice fish from 4-6 meters distance.

for 4-6mtr distance you cannot d it with a 75.

I even have a marlin 85. I like it too and it s trouble free, but it s aroun 175 euro. You have to see your buget

I think I'm going for the beuchat,Either the Mundial 90 @ 106 or marlin elite 85 @ 175. What's the difference between them?

if you still searching for a good speargun try m and a at st pauls he have h dessault gun very power full and have reverse mechanisim very good triggers and good price on all ranges

i prefare circular bands so I ll go tor the marlin. But I suggest not to pay a lot of money for a short gun. I use to have the marlin only cos I have all the marlin range.

Thanks guys for your help, Im going to check out the H Dessault guns tonight & then decide between the marlin & H Dessault. I also decided to go for the 90.

Went to M&A and he convinced to buy a Lanara Axion 90. Seems exactly like the H Dessault just cheaper.

and welcome to the forum
the first piece of advice is go for a good no nonsense gun which shoots straight 
something comfortable and easy to handle
I personally use only three guns a 60 single 16 a 90 single 18 and a 106 double 18
