Hi!
I am coming to Malta in May. I want to buy a float rod for sea fishing. My budget is around 100 Euros. We don't use long telescopic rods for float fishing in the UK so I don't know where to start.
Can you help me to get a good float rod for sea float fishing for that budget?
My budget can go up, if it really makes that big difference.

Thanks!

nothing special a soft tip between 3-4 meters should do the job

From my last visit to Malta I was left with the impression that the rod should be 5-6m long Bolognese???
The Bolognese rods are not used in the UK but me red that Trabuco make very good ones, though I am not sure how much the light fast ones cost and what action will be suitable for float fishing for sea bream species.

as spitec said...you don't need a bolognese for just float fishing...you can just use a good 4-5mt rod. in my opinion an alcedo rod will do the job ;)

SPITEC

depends on were you'll be fishing and for what type of fish

I will be float fishing around the St Pauls bay area - Qawra, Bugibba, Xemxija.

What action rod would be suitable for float fishing for sea bream , parrot fish etc.

SPITEC

A 3 to 5 meter rod would be enough and the action 10-30 would be enough

10-30?! i think it's too much for float fishing...in my opinion a 5-15 would be the perfect action...a good alcedo will do the job...costs around 60e...and some 30e reel...+some floats, weights and line...will add up to your budget i.e. 100e
