Cressi Geronimo 90

Guys I was interested in buying this model.Has anybody tried it out yet. Is it a good gun for a beginner such as I? Although I am a beginner I want a gun that is reliable and durable as this will be the only gun that I shall buy for now. How far would a 90cm speargun shoot? What are the advantages and disadvantages of getting something with a reel ?

90cm is good for a beginner cause its an allrounder.
I use it also in certain conditions, and for certain practices.
Its neither too big so can also be used in crevices and restricted conditions, neither too small so you can shoot open water, obviously with limitations.
About the geronimo although it seems to be a great gun, I have never seen anyone using it., so I cannot comment. The head is totally new for me and I do not know any good or bad about it... The think one of the drawbacks is that you cannot use double rubbers, although they won't be so usefull on a 90.

Reel is to be used always. You never know what you will meet at sea, and you do not want to ruin the fish you dream of a lifetime, beside the fact that sometimes you need to give line even to a small bream so that it does not lacerate, or you get your spear under a rock and you can loose the reel to surface with the gun in your hand, otherwise sometimes due to current you might end somewhere else and loose sight of your gun underwater....so many advantages..

Someone in the past had also suggested visting M&A and mentioned the dessault models. They must be worth looking into. I know it sounds a bit shallow but what is the price range for said guns ( I am still a stundent and every cent counts :p) .
