My Icom IC-58 seems to have got tired of working, dont know if its a temporary thing or if it has expired.....Now either i find a good surgeon or else I find a crematory.
Anyone knows of someone who can fix my VHF.

Took to Icom Gzira, well see how it is diagnosed. Its going to be seen to by a professor as the charge is approx 33Euro per hour so the vhf is in good hands.
I wish I earned that kind of money, grrrrrrrrrrr I had 14Euro an hour and thats the peak of my career....(poor teachers).

haha u buy a new one - ghandi Icom mill antiki ma nuzahx ghax tajuli mad dghajsa gol kaxxa tieghu lol (kemm qabbad l arial biss lol taparsi jahdem l vhf haha) - ma tridx nbihhulek u? - ta xi 12 yrs ago. Veru tajbin ghax pruvajtu kont daqs l gdid tajjeb. (icom ukoll)

Got a call from Icom. The little black box has a blown transistor I think) it's a safety thingy that blows when there is a surcharge or crossed polarity. Thing is it's going to take the technician an hour and a half to open the box, (4 screws), unsolder three points, solder three points and secure the 4 screws back, and another screw. So it's going to cost me 60 euros to change a 2 penny transistor..oh well told you it's at the hands of a professor didn't I. So my war horse is still kicking yeaaaaa
