Hope this helps. this site also offers other type of engines' make and hp's  go to reviews on homepage and choose engines from dropdown list. (If page shows 404 server error try later cause its seems that it is playing up today)

I think they may clog up easily. I suggest you at least go for a 9.9hp

L ahjar titkellem ma Johnston u jghidlek. Jin fuq Kaptan trend ta 16ft wahhalt 20hp auxilary u bbilancjajt kollox u ma sofrejtx speed reduction esagerata (tlift 4knots li ghalija m huma xejn billi l iktar li nsuq hu 25 knots @ 4200 RPM) M ghandix d dghajsa mmila fuq genb ghax rpizajt kif sippost. D dghajsa ga kella 15hp mwahhal u wara li sibt 20hp relativament gdid u qabbilt l piz bejn l muturi rrealizzajt li d differenza hi ta 3 kgs.

Fil pipeline ha nwahhal trim tabs ukoll bix nghin l bilanc tad dghajsa.

D dghajsa ghanda 90hp suzuki 4t main mwahhal. L ahjar tara kemm tista taghmel piz fuq wara u tara ghal xix tista tmur.

Jien fuq Petecraft 14, Johnson 8HP 2-stroke ghandi mwahhal li jizen 27kg u s-sajf li ghadda bghatejt hafna biex nipplenja. Filfatt qed nahsibha li nwahhal no-drill hydrofoils mal-50HP. Nippreferi kieku 4 stroke biex ma noqghodx ingorr zewg tipi ta' petrol mieghi, wiehed clean u l-iehor imhallat biz-zejt.

Meta kont qed infittex, it-Tohatsu 6HP 4 stroke ghandu kwazi l-istess weight tal-8HP 2-stroke, ahseb u ara n-9.9HP kemm hu itqal. Il-punt ta' Granitu nifhmu ghax b'muturi zghar hemm cans li aktar jikklogjaw izda fuq dghajjes zghar bhal taghna ma nahsibx li hemm xi alternattiva ohra sfortunatament

stramba pero li bghatejt biex tipplejnja b'50hp.  Jien fuq kaptan twin b' 40hp yamaha 2 stroke u 5hp 2 stroke qatt ma sibt problema biex nipplejnja bi 3-4 min nies, 65L fuel u affarijiet ohra tas-sajd.

40HP vs 50HP u 5HP vs 8HP - nahseb li hemm xi ftit differenza fit-toqol. Jien ghandi tank 45L fuel taht il-console u iehor 22L fuq quddiem plus affarijiet ohra. Bghatejt sew u hafna drabi jien u missieri biss inkunu. Jekk joqghodli wara m'hemmx cans li nnizzilha d-dghajsa. Irid joqghod quddiem bilfors. Ghalhekk qed nahseb ghall-hydrofoils. Forsi l-hull tal-Kaptan huwa ahjar minn tieghi biex tipplenja. Ma nafx!

Anzi smajt min qalli kiku jkollu jmur lura jwahhal 140hp.

Re 20hp - C cappa mahduma sewwa u l materjal min hadmu zamm amment li ha jkun emm l piz. Ma tantx biddilt mis setup li kien emm ghax ghand min kinet kin jaf x inhu jaghmel u mhux ha nghallmu jin. Nemmen li bhala power mhux required imma meta tqabbel ma 9.9 d differenza minima fil piz.

Z zghar dejjem bikkewni bil problemi allura nevitom Sad Li kellhi dejjem batew mis sadd fil blokka, anke jekk nlahlahom.

Power ma ttijulux kollhu. L iktar li nasal 4600 revs u nkun 22-25knots skond l bahar. Ghalija bizzejjed. Bhala hela sibtu tajjeb hafna u ekonomiku iktar milli stennejt.
