I was recently adviced to fit my new boat/engine with a Racor Fuel Filter. I was searching the internet and there are many different types - which one do I need for an outboard motor please and from where can i get one? Any idea of prices?

This is the distributor who can advise you where to buy, but most petrol stations have

J.M.SCICLUNA
2 ELINGTON FLATS
OLEANDER STREET
THE GARDENS
ST JULIANS STJ 12
Malta
Telephone: 2135 33 88

You need the kit 320R-RAC-01 which has 3 port (2 in - 1 out)

I believe they are around Lm50 for the whole thing.

Is this ok? why do I need 2 in or are they standard? Is it difficult to install or you just need to push in the fuel line like a normal filter?

1 Fuel tank = 1 input and 1 output to the engine

2 Fuel tanks = 2 inputs and 1 output to the engine :)

You buy a threaded adapter to a nipple and then slide the pipe over the nipple!

Thats the one in your link yes

Sorry for being so stupid but....
Can you close one of the inputs if you're only going to use one?
Do you know where can I get the fittings from please?

Yes they come with taps that close the inputs/outputs I believe. If not the same place that sells them should have these. I know International Marine in Gzira sells these Racors for sure.
