After writing a report on the Mommotti, I would like to introduce it's little cousin the Coixedda ('devil' in Sardinian dialect).

This little darter minnow is characterised by it's flat head, this makes it possible to do away with the lip on the front making the minnow a lot more robust for those of you who like to spin in rocky areas.

It's short 100mm body is robust and the weight distribution, 16g in total, makes it very castable and it is very stable in flight.  Once in the water the coixedda can be worked with the rod, to produce a swimming action that is not predictable and non-rythmic, therefor it will not look suspicious to fish.  You can really slap the rod to make the lure flick side to side without making the lure jump out of the water.

The swimming action is shallow, it will swim barely below the surface.  If you are hunting fish in posidonia beds then the best is to substitute the treble to Single hooks, like the Mutu Light, and it will NOT snag.

Although it was primarily designed as a compact lure to fish for Seabass, it has had a resounding success with other types of fish like Barracudas, Saddled Bream, Trevallies, and Bluefish.
